Did you know, on average there students have a funding gap of £4,000 a year to fund their higher education. Many students find that government loans and grants are not enough, and we help those students to bridge the gap through loans designed with students in mind.
Loan is a bad word and student finance is a sensitive topic. We recognise that and we exist to help more people fund an education that they otherwise could not afford.
We’re Future Finance and we believe that finances should not prevent someone from achieving their educational goals. We're rewriting the rules of how to finance your education, opening University up to more people and making thousands of dreams a reality.
We do not compete with government student loans, instead we encourage students to take that route, but with increasing costs of education these are often not enough. We represent a fairer and more sustainable alternative to credit cards and payday lenders. Our loans are built specifically with students in mind and have flexibility at the heart of them. We have over 3,000 customers in the UK whose loans benefit from capped lower repayments while in study, 3-month repayment holidays when needed, reduced interest rate after graduation and a super friendly team to help them through their education.
We will continue to remove the financial barriers to education and we hope you, your friends, and their friends build their future through Future Finance.
What we're looking for
- Firstly, you need to be a student at the Coventry University.
- We’re looking for an energetic and social student ambassador, who believe what we believe.
- You should be a great communicator and willing to spread the message about Future Finance to friends, classmates and anyone else you meet.
- You should have entrepreneurial characteristics and a head full of innovative ideas, plus the drive to implement them – growth is in your hands.
- You should be motivated to work independently. You’ll be the only ambassador at your campus and you will speak with Future Finance weekly, but a lot of the work is down to you to do yourself.
- The more people you know, the better you’ll do in this job, so ideally you’d be part of societies, clubs or just a social butterfly on and around campus.
- We don’t mind what you study but an interest in marketing, social media and events are all great to have.
- You must adopt a professional, responsible and ethical approach at all times, ensuring that all behaviour is in line with acting fairly to current and potential customers.
- You have to be used to the ambiguity of startup and the keenness to be part of something bigger than yourself.
- You’ll get brownie points if you have taken out a Future Finance loan or have experience of us and our product.
What you’ll be doing
We don’t know everything there is to know about campus and ambassador marketing, so you’ll be working with the Marketing team at Future Finance plus other ambassadors at other campuses (the ambassador team) around the country to come up with impactful ideas that will get the word out about Future Finance. This could range from events to social media marketing to freebies to whatever you think will get the message out there.
Your job will be to come up with ideas and work with the ambassador team to select the best ideas and execute them. Future Finance will support you with what you need to make an impact on campus, and we’ll measure the results, share learnings and come up with the next bunch of great ideas together. You’ll be the sole ambassador on the ground so from idea through to results it’s on you.
What you’ll get
- Amazing hands-on marketing experience, with the independence to come up with new ideas and see them come to life on your campus
- Work with Europes largest private student lender and one of the fastest growing start-ups in the UK
- Training and exposure to marketing tactics that grow start-ups
- Exceptional candidates could earn the opportunity for Future Finance internships and permanent jobs
- Stash and freebies
Pay & Rewards
- We pay our ambassadors a generous £10 per hour. You can expect to work a minimum of 5 hours per week.
- On top of your hourly rate work, you have the potential to earn a lot more based on your performance. The work you do will increase awareness of Future Finance and anyone who applies for a loan because of your work will earn you £25 per application.
